Keachi Acres has hosted over 65 volunteers through the WWOOF USA program.

We can host up to four volunteers at a time. Work would involve gardening and animal care as well as mowing and nature trail maintenance. Also general home maintenance tasks. We expect 4-5 hours of work per day, about 5 days per week. Housing provided in a nice small guest home, or screened bunkhouse depending on weather and number of wwoofers. No public transportation is available, but rides could be arranged. Shreveport has two colleges, theaters, museums, casinos and shopping. Meals can be shared with host family. Prefer English speaker, but we speak some Spanish and French and would like to learn Italian. We may require references, background check and drug screen. Length of stay is flexible from one week to several months. Volunteers spend free time canoeing, fishing, hiking, and swimming in the pond. Wifi available.
